New News

So, we heard last Thursday that there were 7 new Birthmothers signed up with the agency last week.  What great odds that have been created :)  Pray that if it is God's Will we are chosen soon.  We are still in limbo on the baby's room and what to do.  We are praying that we receive notification in enough time that we can get that completed, but if not, we will be so excited that it wouldn't matter anyhow.  Evan's Birthday is this week and he said he wants a baby brother and sister (twins)...haha!  What a request!!  He wants to shop all the time for the baby.  We have lots of friends and family that have either had their baby or are do anytime, so I think that plays a roll in his anticipation as ours.  Evan will be getting Baptized Sunday.  We are completely proud of him and his love for the Lord!!  Breastmilk came in a while back and more is coming day to day.  Pray for a full supply by the time the baby gets here!!

Well....

Well, we haven't heard that we have been chosen yet.  But that is fine, it will happen in God's timing.  I have 2 friends who just informed us of their pregnancy, plus 4 people in our lives ready to give birth in the next month or 2, so life is full of babies :)  We haven't done anything else to the babies room.  At this point our focus is on Evan.  He is the light of our lives and needs to feel it.  He gave his life to the Lord the other night at church and we couldn't be more proud of him.  Still pumping and trying to prepare for my breastmilk to come in.  I am now on 3 different herbs and a perscription.  So it seems like all I do is take pills all day, but it will be so worth it once the baby gets here.  Hoping to find out something soon....Scott, Evan and I are all very anxious and excited to grow our family.  We are excited to see what God has in store for us.

News....News....News

Our Garage Sale went wonderfully!!  There was lots of help that we were very appreciative for and NEEDED!!  We are slowly getting closer to our goal, but we know God will provide, so we are not worried/concerned in the least.

We received an email yesterday, telling us that there are currently 10 Birth Mothers looking at Profiles and if we didn't have a carseat it was strongly suggested to get one because they expect phone calls to be made in the next couple of weeks!!  How exciting is that!  We may hear something in the next couple of weeks....lots to do, but don't know where to begin. 

We have our nursery coming together as far as baby furniture, but now we just need to know what colors to start painting.  God is so good and we are so excited.  Evan says that he and I can do the "Baathing"...lol and daddy can do the diapers....I have to say, it is definitely a great plan. :)

Event FULL

So this week has been Eventful to say the least.  My sister's house caught fire early Monday morning and they lost everything.  God's showed His mighty and wonderful Grace once more to our family through taking care of them all and letting them out safely.  Despite all this loss, our family is ready to GAIN!!  My sister absolutly insist we keep Fund Raiser #2 in full motion.

So....Fund Raiser # 2 is a Garage Sale.  It will be held in Muskogee on the East side of town.  I will have flyers hanging just about every where.  We really need to get the word out, so everything you can do to share the word would be great!!  Also, if you have donations you would like to give to either My sister or the Adoption Garage Sale, please do not hesitate in contacting me.  We can schedule something to pick up the stuff.  I need everything by Wednesday of next week if possible so we can start pricing and arranging!!

Fund Raiser #1

Well, Fund Raiser #1 has ended and we were blessed to have 9 people attend!  We are very thankful for God's beautiful blessings.  We made about $250.00 which is more than what we had before, which proves progess.  We are currently scheduling a Garage Sale on March 25 - 26.  We are welcome to donated items and would love for everyone to come visit us on those days!  Thank you once again for all of your support and prayers....keep them coming. :)

Great Buys

Today we purchase a crib that came with a beautiful dresser, a travel system (carseat & stroller), a baby cart, diaper bag and some cute little socks!  We are getting very ready for this baby!!  We can hardly wait to see our precious baby.  Now....just to put it all together and get this nursery painted....pink or blue, pink or blue....(BIG SIGH)  lol

Prayers

Keep those prayers going!!  Looks like the weather should clear up enough for us to travel to the "Mandatory Adoption Seminar".  We are super excited!!  We found out that this is the last step before our profile is shown to the BirthMothers.  Stating that we are SUPER EXCITED would be an understatement....lol  Thank you all for all your heartfelt prayers.

Hard Day

Today has been a tough day.  It seems that every where we turn, there are babies galore.  We are so anxious for this new addtition and all the excitement that she/he will bring, that sometimes it feels as if it is taking forever.  We know God's Timing is much better than ours, but some days are just harder than others.  We are really concerned with the $20,000 we need to raise, but then we know that NOTHING is impossible for GOD.  Isn't it crazy how we doubt sometimes? Our flesh over takes our spirit, and it can be a constant battle.  The devil thrives to make us miserable and he will if we let him.  We are glad that we live by the Faith that we feel and know, or some days we would never make it.  Praise the Lord for friends/family that are supporting us! We couldn't make this journey without you all!!

Praising God

So today I just want to Praise God!  He is so awesome.  He always makes me Smile and gives me the best hugs.  I have found that since I have created a Fundraiser Event and a Blog, that people have come to me for all kinds of Adoption advice.  Isn't that just wonderful?  So many people wanting to help child out and fill their hearts with the joy a child brings.  It is absolutly wonderful to be connected with such a beauty of God!  So....Thank you God for making me smile once more :)

Adoption Seminar

We found out that we are approved for a "Mandatory Adoption Seminar" through our agency. It is scheduled for the end of next week.  Please pray for clear weather and clean roads.  If it is still bad, Scott will have to continue to clean snow and ice off the roads and we won't be able to go.  We had to pay $450.00 already for this and we are really excited to attend and learn all the different things about the agency.

Our "LifeBook" was delivered in the mail today!!  YAY!!  Now it can be presented to the Birthmothers!!  We are extremely excited about this.  We were a little disappointed that the front page was written a little small....readable....but too small we felt.
